What is the Child Care Subsidy?

The new child care subsidy will commence on 2 July 2018 and is set to replace the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) with a single, means-tested subsidy. The Child Care Subsidy will be paid directly to providers to be passed on to families. To find out more information about the new Child Care Subsidy click here.

Family Webcast Information Session

The Department of Education and Training held three free Family Webcast Information Sessions in May to help families understand what they need to do to transition to the Child Care Subsidy and to learn more about the New Child Care Package starting on 2 July 2018. MyGov account setup

Transitioning to the new Child Care Subsidy is not an automatic roll over from the two current payments. Families must provide new information and confirm current details using their Centrelink online account through myGov.
